San Augustin Water Coalition
fighting for a sustainable New Mexico
Join the effort to protect our resources!
Even though they are senior and pre-existing, you must defend your water rights. Augustin Plains Ranch LLC proproses to remove BILLIONS of gallons of water from Catron county aquifers. Some groundwater is not replaced by precipitation, and some aquifers which are replenished by rainwater must be carefully managed so as to not deplete the aquifers faster than rain can refill them. Once our water is gone, so are we. Protecting your water rights is protecting your right to life.
